Collagraph

Collagraph prints are made by varying the surface texture of a printing plate. Different surface will hold varying amounts of ink. Many different materials can be used including card, paper, tape, foil, fabric. Variations in the surface can also be created by carving and tearing the base plate. Inking is typically with a brush or card and can be specific to parts of the plate. Excess surface ink is removed by wiping with a cloth prior to printing
