Linocut
Linocuts are a type of relief print made by using sharp gouges to carve an image into the surface of a lino or vinyl plate. The surface is inked and paper pressed onto the plate. The carved and removed parts of the plate take no ink and the image is created from what remains. Several methods exist to include multiple colours into an image, including multi-plate and plate reduction.
