Tall
The top is made from three pieces of mahogany, orignally a bookshelf. As is often the case the design evolved and the scalloped corners were necessitated by a flay in the corner of one of the bnoards. The legs and trim strip are oak. To allow for the tight bend the strip inside the corner quadrants was made by laminating three steam-bent thinner pieces to form the curve. It's quite tall, hence the name.
