WOODWORKING
This gallery shows images of a number of my small table projects. Each is an original and unique design which evolves through a process of considering the character of the wood I intend to use and ideas I have developed.
The wood is all repurposed, often from old or broken furniture. Sources have included a wardrobe, chest-of-drawers, bar counter and a church pew. Beneath a painted or lacquered surface there is often a beautiful piece of wood; oak, ash, mahogany and walnut are among the species I have used.
Some tables are made because a particular piece of wood demands to be displayed, others to realise a design I have sketched. I am happy to discuss commissions. If of interest then please get in touch.
