Torii

Several design changes as once the top was prepared I could bring myself to cut into it for the legs, as had ben the original plan. Surface damage and screw holes on the source piece for the top (teak from a laboratory work-bench) steered the shape to an elongated bi-concave rectangle. Legs are oak. Lots of tricky geomettry and jigs to get everything to line up, but I was pleased with the final shape. It reminds me of the ceremonial 'Torii' gates at Japanese Shinto shrines, hence the name
